VR was born out of necessity; the main dealer personal touch and customer experience was on a downward spiral and this was something that founder/director Martin spotted way back in 2008.
Martin commented that most Main Dealers have been so heavily targeted by their manufacturers that they have forgotten how simple the car buying process is, and how enjoyable and exciting it should be.
Martin wanted to recapture the enthusiasm and simplicity of buying a dream car and took the idea to investor and entrepreneur Steven Hibbert. Steve backed the idea immediately and VR was born.
More than 10 years later the business still holds firm its beliefs in focusing purely on the customer experience, and our fantastic customer reviews are what drives us. Director Glen Mason who joined the board in 2013 believes that people buy from people and building lasting relationships with clients is what matters most.
In 2019 the business moved forward again appointing Rob Tam as its Managing Director. Rob is passionate about providing the very best customer care and is determined to offer a purchasing experience like no other.
Rob and Martin have known each other since 2001 and during that time have built a strong friendship and working relationship which has seen them both develop within the industry.
