Rob Tam

Managing Director

Rob's experience within the motor industry spans over 20 years. He has always had a passion for cars and was even able to name every car on the road at the tender age of 5. Fresh out of college Rob started his career as a trainee Salesperson and quickly progressed through the ranks, achieving his first Sales Manager position at just 23. He brings a vast amount of knowledge and expertise from working with some of the world's largest car manufacturers. Robs leadership qualities and main dealer background has provided the foundations to offer the very best customer experience. Robs qualities are based around the Japanese term "Kaizen" meaning "change for the better" or "continuous improvement." It is a Japanese business philosophy regarding the processes that continuously improves operations and involves all employees.

Glen Mason

Glen has always been around cars from an early age, selling cars and Motorbikes on Auto Trader (he actually advertised in the first ever Auto Trader magazine). From his home, at the tender age of 19, he started in the motor trade as a valeter for a local car dealer and after 4 years with them he soon realized he was a great communicator and could sell cars. As soon as Glen had worked his way up through valeting to mechanical and service and then sales, he then started his own car sales business with money he had saved and a little bank loan. Initially the Sales and Admin was taken care of by his then girlfriend's father (now his wife) who was an accountant then several years later they became business partners and had a successful car showroom for many years.

Sam joined the VR group in 2018 after leaving the Education and Sports Coaching Sector with a BA Hons degree in Sports Coaching.

Sam quickly developed within the sales environment, finding great pride in helping customers find their dream car. He has fantastic organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. Since joining us his attitude to learning has allowed him to progress into a professional advisor in a short space of time. We have high hopes for Sam in the future. Watch this space!

An avid sports person, Sam continues to play football semi-professionally whilst having a passion for other sports such as running, cycling and triathlons.

Daniel Moyle

Media Specialist

Dan joined the VR team in early 2023 as our new Media Specialist. Despite having almost no experience in the motor trade, his history in media speaks for itself - having studied Film and TV at university and then gone on to work for different media companies in the North-West.

Over the years he's helped make music videos, short films and advertisments for a plethora of artists, bands and companies both big and small. He's traveled to different countries in pursuit of his career and even did work experience on the BBC's Peaky Blinders. He's taken all he's learned and has been applying it to fit our company to produce all the fantastic photos and videos for our website, as well as handling our social media platforms and YouTube channel.

Jack joined the VR team in early 2025 under the hybrid role of Logistics and Developer. Jacks background is actually Web Design and Graphic Design however jack felt like it was time for a bit of a change. Jack wanted to integrate his skills into the team and assist where he could along side his main role in logistics. Jack ensures that vehicles are prepped mechanically and visually. Over the years, Jack has worked with many brands across the world build their online presence and transform their online brand identity.

Elle Mae McCandless

Office Manager

Elle-Mae joined VR in 2019 after finishing her A-Levels at college. She saw this as a great opportunity for a career in business, especially with the prestigious environment of supercars. Since she joined, she has competed her QFC Level 2 diploma in Business Administration and her NFCE Level 2 qualification in ICT. Elle is also currently working towards her Level in Business Administration. Elle-Mae looks after all the personalised registration transfers along with invoicing and vehicle administration. Elle has become an invaluable member of the team ensuring that all aspects of the customer's buying experience is perfect.

Phil Gannon

SMART Repair Technician

Phil has over 25 years' experience in the motor trade, working with various main dealers around the Northwest. He currently runs our VR Smart Repair facility ensuring all minor paint corrections are completed to manufacturer standards. Phil has been working with cars since studying his City & Guilds in Body Welding and Repair. Phil has since received an incredible senior ATA Accreditation in Paintwork. He also has an IMI Accreditation in Mechanical, Electrical, Trim. Phil is also the proud owner of a classic 1989 XR31 Convertible Ford Escort which he is restoring in his spare time!
